The TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITÄT WIEN (TU Wien) was founded in 1815 and is Austria's largest research and educational institution in the field of technology and natural sciences. TU Wien participates in the TARGET project with two research units: the Databases and Artificial Intelligence Group leads WP3 and the work on data integration & sharing, the Computer Graphics Group contributes with model visualisations for the co-design and co-creation of TARGET’s tools (WP2). The Databases and Artificial Intelligence group’s research covers data and knowledge engineering, database management and theory, knowledge representation, reasoning as well as artificial intelligence, scheduling, and planning. The Computer Graphics group performs extensive fundamental and applied research in Computer Graphics. Its areas of expertise are modelling and rendering for computer graphics, visualisation and visual analytics, visual computing, and virtual environments.
