Revalidatieziekenhuis Inkendaal (RI) is a reference centre for various rehabilitation specialties, helping individuals with complex neurological disabilities and developing specialised care programs to provide the patients with the greatest possible functional autonomy. It focuses on individuals recovering from severe musculoskeletal, neurological, locomotor, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Inkendaal Hospital is actively involved in national and regional convention programs and is recognized as a Reference Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, an Interuniversity Reference Center for Cerebral Palsy, a Neuromuscular Reference Center, and a Home Respiratory Support Center. RI has facilities for extra-mural rehabilitation (3D gait lab, etc.). It is an expert center for the Flemish Agency for Persons with Disabilities. As a hospital, Inkendaal collaborates with various authorities, healthcare institutions, and patient associations. RI’s contribution to the project will be conducted by the Rehabilitation Department under the supervision of Professor Bernard Dan.
