Dr Tuladhar is a neurologist specialized in vascular neurology and researcher specialized in neuroimaging at the Department of Neurology, Radboudumc. He defended his PhD thesis on 4th October 2016 with distinction. He is a junior staff member from the Dutch Heart Foundation (since 2017), Junior Principal Investigator (since 2018) and Principal Investigator (since 2022). His research focuses on understanding why patients with cerebrovascular disease develop clinical deficits and on the understanding of the clinical symptoms and prognosis in stroke patients from the imaging perspective. He takes a systems biology approach by using novel imaging techniques and developing sophisticated mathematical models to examine brain networks. He has contributed to the field of stroke patients resulting in international practical guidelines and global awareness of stroke patients. His research is on the intersection of the fields of neurology, neuropsychology and neuroimaging, and cardiology. This is reflected by the expertise he has developed as PI in using various techniques, published articles in high-impact peer-reviewed international journals (80 publications in the last 5 years) and international collaboration with other researchers. With his expertise, he has built up his own independent research group with strong expertise in neuroimaging. He is co-author of several regional and national multidisciplinary guidelines (including European Stroke Organisation guideline on screening for subclinical atrial fibrillation after stroke or transient ischaemic attack of undetermined origin). Dr. Ten Cate is an interventional cardiologist specialized in structural congenital interventions at the Department of Cardiology, Radboudumc. He defended his PhD thesis at Utrecht University on 2 February 2010. His research focuses on invasive imaging of the vulnerable plaque and cardiac interventions for stroke of undetermined origins. He is co-author of several peer-reviewed papers and currently serves as associate editor of the Netherlands Heart Journal. As a clinician, his work focuses on structural interventions in congenital cardiology and the cardiac side of prevention of stroke. Is this capacity he is one of the founders of the Radboudumc Heart Stroke Team.

I am Evi van Kempen, currently pursuing my PhD at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in Nijmegen, specializing in the field of vascular neurology. My research is driven by a profound interest in understanding and improving treatments within this specialty. Alongside my academic pursuits, I serve as a medical doctor in the Neurology Department at Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem, where I apply my clinical skills and knowledge to patient care. My dual roles enrich my insight into both the theoretical and practical aspects of neurology, enabling me to contribute significantly to the field.
